A HydraFacial can improve the texture and tone of a patient’s skin. It is suitable for the following conditions:

A HydraFacial procedure is non ablative. This means it does not remove any tissue or cause damage to the skin. This gentler approach certainly has some advantages! Research has shown that hydradermabrasion technology effectively improves patient skin quality and increases antioxidant levels. ⁽¹⁾ Antioxidants are substances that neutralize free radicals in the body, which can damage cells and cause illness and signs of aging. Before your HydraFacial, please stay well hydrated and eat a balanced, healthy diet rich in antioxidants for skin health. There are some specific things you must do before your procedure which you can find in the timeline below.

The HydraFacial Procedure

Dr. Bonillas will select a customized selection of topicals for your skin to target the beauty issues you are facing. Just like a microdermabrasion treatment, a HydraFacial exfoliates and resurfaces your skin. But, the HydraFacial is a much more comfortable way of doing so! Unlike microdermabrasion, there are no small resurfacing crystals. Instead, an aqueous solution cleanses and resurfaces the skin at supersonic speeds. By removing the debris and dead skin cells on the outer layers of the skin, the cells underneath are revealed, and the skin appears glowing and fresh. 

Although the vortex created by the specially shaped applicator can feel a little odd, it is not painful. After Dr. Bonillas has suctioned away debris he will focus on sebum reduction for oily skin types. In the final stage of your HydraFacial, he will apply a custom blended mixture of antioxidants and boosters to hydrate and replenish your skin. Because this procedure is so simple and painless, after around 40 minutes, you will be free to leave immediately after your HydraFacial!

HydraFacial Aftercare

As with any skin resurfacing treatment, it is important to follow the post-treatment instructions carefully and be gentle with your skin. Please avoid UV light exposure as much as possible, and do not use any additional abrasive cleansers and products on your skin in the days and weeks after your HydraFacial.
