Gissel Palomino, LMA (Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Front Desk Coordinator)

Gissel is a licensed aesthetician with a focus on corrective and holistic facials, combining results-driven treatments with a personalized, whole-skin approach. Born and raised in Phoenix, she brings a genuine connection to her community and a passion for helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Northern Arizona University, supporting her science-based approach to skincare.

In addition to her work as an aesthetician, Gissel also serves as Front Desk Coordinator where she is often the first point of contact for our patients. Her dual role allows her to create a seamless, welcoming experience—from the initial interaction through the completion of each treatment plan. Dedicated, detail-oriented, and patient-focused, she is committed to delivering both exceptional care and visible results while continuing to grow her career in medical aesthetics.

Manuela Hulsey, LMA (Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Medical Assistant)

Manuela moved to Arizona at the age of 13 from Bulgaria with her family. She had a desire to join the medical field at an early age and decided to attend Medical Assistant school and graduated from Brookline College in 2007. Later on in 2021 she joined the aesthetic journey by attending Avalon School of Cosmetology.

As a Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Medical Assistant, she brings a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to clinical skincare and post-procedural support. Specializing in advanced aesthetic treatments including Hydrafacials, customized facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, micro-needling, and targeted skincare protocols for acne, hyperpigmentation, and aging skin—all within a medical setting.

In her role as a Postperative Care Technician, she is dedicated to supporting patients through every stage of their recovery process. Providing hands-on post-procedure lymphatic massage, cavitations, body controuring and wood therapy, designed to reduce inflammation, promote healing, and enhance overall results following cosmetic and medical treatments. Her experience includes assisting with pre- and postoperative protocols, patient education, and ensuring a safe, comfortable recovery experience.

Manuela’s goal is to help every patient feel confident, informed, and supported—whether they are seeking skin rejuvenation or recovering from a procedure—by delivering results that promote both beauty and wellness.

Most of all, she loves meeting new people and being a part of their aesthetic journey. In her free time, Manuela likes spending time with her family, working out, hiking, and traveling.

Tia Pantano, RN, CLT (Nurse Injector and Certified Laser Technician)

Tia began her career in the medical field after graduating from nursing school in 2010. After working 7-years in pediatric cardiology in and outpatient setting, she helped launch a startup company that focused on in-home medical care based on risk assessment, and quality enhancements, particularly for high-risk populations. She has had the opportunity to expand her expertise by pursuing a specialization in the cosmetic and plastic surgery field of nursing. Tia refined her expertise under the mentorship of Dr. Robert G Bonillas of Scottsdale Plastics for a year prior to practicing as an aesthetic injector.

Tia is trained in non-surgical treatments like neurotoxins, dermal filler, threads, biostimulators and cosmetic lasers. She has a strong desire to help others by simply enhancing their natural beauty with confidence-boosting results. Tia is deeply committed to ongoing education and staying current with the latest advancements and trends in cosmetic and aesthetic nursing. Outside of the office, you can find this busy mom of three embracing an active lifestyle — she loves traveling and spending quality time with her husband.

Katherine Grande (Remote Patient Coordinator)

Katherine brings to Dr. Bonillas’ practice over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the plastic and aesthetic field, which initially complimented her primary role as a patient coordinator, and now works as a remote patient coordinator. From your initial contact with our Scottsdale Plastics team members, Katherine plays an intimate role in guiding our patients through their experience at Scottsdale Plastics. Katherine will be there with her genuine warmth and compassion that welcomes you like family.

Katherine enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, traveling, visiting wineries and wine tasting! She adores nature and the love of all animals including her 5 fur babies of all shapes and sizes.

Julie Davis, LPN (Practice Manager and Primary Patient Coordinator)

Julie joined Scottsdale Plastics in 2020. With a strong background in the medical field and a passion for cosmetic and aesthetic medicine, Julie serves as the Primary Patient Coordinator and Practice Manager at Scottsdale Plastics. Drawing on extensive experience in clinic operations, patient care coordination, and team leadership, Julie ensures not only the practice runs smoothly and efficiently, but with the highest standard of patient satisfaction.

Julie is also a Licensed Practical Nurse with experience across various areas of the medical field, including mental health, cosmetic surgery, and postoperative care. With a background in international travel as a flight attendant, she brings a global perspective and a love for exploration. Julie helps shape an exceptional patient journey through her attentive and professional approach. She provides compassionate guidance from consultation through post-procedure care. Through her own life experiences, she provides a warm approach to every patient’s experience.

Dedicated to excellence, Julie stays current with the latest industry developments, regulatory standards, and aesthetic trends to support the continued growth and innovation of the practice. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor adventures and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Michele Quintana, ST (Certified Surgical Technician and Permanent Makeup Artist)

Michele grew up in Redondo Beach, Ca, where she enjoyed the beautiful beach lifestyle. Michele has 26 years of experience in surgical assisting in all surgical specialties. She has been with Dr. Bonillas and Scottsdale Plastics since March of 2019, working directly at Dr. Bonillas’ side – in surgery, as well as in the office with patient consults, and pre and post-surgical patient care. Currently she provides her expertise as a certified first assistant in surgery helping Dr. Bonillas during his surgical procedures. When she is not at the office, you will find her at an indoor spin class enjoying the energy or outside on the beautiful Arizona hiking trails.
