An initial consultation with Dr. Bonillas gives our patients a chance to meet the staff and everyone involved in their procedure. During this time, they will have the opportunity to thoroughly discuss their interests as well as ideal final outcomes. Dr. Bonillas has a large selection of before and after pictures from previous patients to look through which allows potential patients to become comfortable with his work. This is also an ideal time to speak with our cosmetic surgery staff about insurance and financial considerations. We do offer several financial options for our clients that you can discuss at this time. Our team will address any and all concerns clients may have and deal with them openly and honestly.
Once your surgery is scheduled, Dr. Bonillas will book a preoperative appointment in order to discuss and review your procedure with you. Dependent on the type of Scottsdale plastic surgery you have opted for, you may be given consent forms to sign as well as prescriptions to fill. If preoperative photographs have not yet been taken, they may also be performed at this time.
The day before to your surgery, it will be extremely important to make sure the proper arrangements are made. Depending on your procedure you may need to arrange for a ride to and from the surgery center. You should also shower with an antibacterial soap, avoid eating after the designated time given to you, and follow any other instructions provided by Dr. Bonillas to maximize your results.
On the day of surgery, please arrive an hour early to check in and fill out any necessary paperwork. It is best to wear loose fitting clothing and leave all valuables at home. When your procedure is complete, you will most likely remain in the recovery room for several hours so that doctors and nurses can check on your recovery process. You must have someone to drive you home and assist you after surgery. Start taking any medications prescribed to you by the doctor and limit your activity for at least the first 48 hours after surgery.
You will most likely be scheduled for follow-up appointments with Dr. Bonillas to track your healing, remove bandages or dressings, and properly document your results.
